Women Struggling Financially Have Special Needs...Help Our "Sisters" Regain Self-Confidence & Hope With A Small Gift!

We live in a society where many men, women, and children struggle each day to make ends meet and often do without. To be honest, many of us lack a true understanding of the what this means.  It is largely understood that families are in need, due to economic hardships, domestic situations, etc. - but our minds typically go to basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and medical care.  These items are indeed critical, but this list does not detail all of a families true needs.

As a boutique that prides ourselves in helping women of every shape and size, we are especially interested in helping women that have found themselves in challenging situations.  We know that as women, we often put our basic needs behind those of others that we care for - we will find a way and "make due".  Women have unique needs and although some of them are less glamorous than others, they are all very real.  A mother will MAKE SURE that her baby has the formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, and clothes that he/she requires to be comfortable, while she goes without.  As long as her children are taken care of she will press on...without food, without a warm coat, without comfortable clothing, without items that make her feel like a women that is worth fighting for.  Material items are not required to make you happy BUT constantly going without the most elementary of necessities can have a very real toll on a women's self-esteem and confidence.  We want to help make a difference!!

Over the past few months, you may have seen us become more and more involved in trying to support local organizations that are actively working to help women in need.  Bare Moxie has been involved in several Bra Drives and has even partnered with the "Bra Recyclers", where women are encouraged to donate their new/gently used bras for women in need.  What you don't see is the "behind the scenes" work that we also do.  The owners of Bare Moxie work together with these organizations to go on-sight at local shelters to professionally fit bras on these women; to make sure they are getting the proper support, size, and comfort that they deserve!  A great bra really can change a woman's life!!  When she looks in the mirror and sees that she's standing a little straighter, her breasts are being held a little higher and her back and shoulder pain has subsided...she FEELS like she can push forward..it is little BOOST of confidence, something that is often lacking.

This week, you will see us jump in with another local organization, "Go With the Flow", who specializes in collecting items that women need for "That Time of the Month"!  What a GREAT idea - - to provide aid for a  genuine need of so many women!  This group collects Maxipads, Tampons, NEW Underwear, Toiletries and more - and the women that receive these donations have one less expense to worry about for the month!
